Levity is a non-profit think tank and residency space where diverse minds come together to tackle pressing environmental and social issues. We believe in the power of collaboration to create innovative solutions that empower communities to thrive in a changing world.

We aim to be a catalyst for change by bringing diverse minds together to investigate solutions to the challenges we face. By fostering collaboration between scientists, artists, activists, and communities, we strive to build resilient systems that nourish our planet and our relationship to one another.

WHY “LEVITY?”

The human journey is filled with sunshine and sorrow. We at Levity believe that embracing lightheartedness offers a way to navigate life’s absurdities with greater resilience. This mindset helps up to find joy even amidst hardship. Founded in the Acadiana region of Louisiana, Levity echoes its culture. We emulate a populace that finds joy in poking fun at friends and fondly remembers the silly antics of loved ones that have passed. With levity, we can meet the challenges in front of us.
